The Fabulous Fox Theatre

Today we went to the Fox Theatre in St. Louis. We had so much fun learning about the history of the theater and seeing the amazing building. I (Ms. Johanna) tagged along today. It was a lot of fun hanging out with the kids. We really are blessed to be able to spend our days with your children.

This hangs in "Peacock Alley" Each year has a poster like this that has each musical, play, musician, concert, etc. that visited the Fox that year. It was neat to see how many events the Fox has played host to. Below is a full picture of Peacock Alley.

The kids listened to our tour guide, Art, tell the history of the magnificent theater.

Stained glass in the theater. This is an original part of the building that was built over initially, but when the theater was restored they uncovered it so it could be enjoyed.

We had the oppurtunity to go back stage. On all of the walls there are murals and signatures everywhere of the different productions and artists that had visited the theater. Some were simple and some were very ornate. We were told that Tony Orlando started the tradition.

While at the theater we were able to hear a performance by Stan Kann on the organ. This organ was amazing.

It was another great day for us here at WKK Day Camp. We are looking forward to wrapping up our second week tomorrow. Lets hope the rain holds out.

Must of been a very interesting tour for the kids. Being from a small town like Warrenton, this i'm sure was a new experience for most of them.

This place was really OLD it was like built in 1926. It was really cool though!
